Emergency Services

The Woodlands Animal Care Center is a full service veterinary hospital. Our doctors are available 24-hours for your pets’ emergency needs and our treatment center is well equipped for both emergency and critical care patients.

Surgical Procedures

We are equipped to perform multiple types of surgeries, offering exceptional quality surgical equipment with your loved one monitored by our highly trained staff. Our standard of anesthetic monitoring includes EKG, blood pressure, CO2, heart rate, temperature and pulse oximetry and we provide anesthetic protocols tailored to the individual patient.

Just a few surgeries performed at the Woodlands Animal Care Center include:

  • Spays
  • Neuters
  • Herniations
  • Laceration Repairs
  • Dental Cleanings and Extractions
  • Mass Removals
  • Gastropexy (“Stomach Tack”)
  • Enucleations
  • Cherry eye repair
  • Femoral Head Ostectomy
  • Amputations

We utilize a CO2 surgical laser for most of our procedures. The benefits of using a surgical laser include improved healing, decreased negative impact on surrounding tissues, reduced infection and decreased pain and swelling. The end result is a quicker, more comfortable recovery of your furry loved one.

Endoscopy for your pets is also available at our Farmington, PA veterinary location as a means for less invasive exploration of the GI tract. An endoscope is a small, flexible tube with a light that allows you to see the lining of the upper GI tract. In certain instances, foreign bodies may be retrieved using this method rather than an open GI explore.
